Wendy Starland was named VH1's “Best Emerging Artist.” Starland was also honored by The Songwriter's Hall Of Fame for her top 10 hit song, Dancing With The Sea. Her self-written & produced single was released in Europe alongside multi-platinum artists, Norah Jones, Feist, and Edie Brickell, to name a few. Her song landed at #8 on the charts, giving her the opportunity to tour throughout Europe to thousands of fans. She was a featured performer at MI Fest, opening for Sheryl Crow and Jack White of the White Stripes. Starland was named in the Beckham House book as one of the “Great Female Singers” alongside Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, Etta James, and Natalie Cole, etc. She also performed at the Toronto International Film Festival, at the premiere of Entourage star, Adrian Grenier’s movie, Teenage Papparazzo. Starland was featured on the Songs Of Love For Japan album to support Tsunami Relief efforts along with Tori Amos, Sara Bareilles, Ani DiFranco, Antigone Rising, Brandi Carlisle, Toby Lightman, Lenka and others. She is a lead vocalist on multi-platinum artist Moby’s Grammy nominated album, Last Night, which went to #2 on the Billboard charts. She has also sung backup for Michael Bolton on CBS's The Early Show and has opened for Sean Paul, Grandmaster Flash, Shawn Colvin, Vonda Shepard, Fishbone, The English Beat, Mike Posner, The Pointer Sisters, Karl Denson, The Romantics, Ronnie Dunn, and Universal/Verve artists Jonatha Brooke and Lucy Woodward. Light Babies produced a dance remix of her song “Queen Of Hearts” that was released on Tiesto’s label, Black Hole Recordings, last year. She has written and recorded duets with Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Ben Lee, The Wu Tang Clan, Capone of Island Def Jam's Capone & Noriega, MC Fitti, and Apl.de.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas. Starland was solely responsible for discovering multi-Grammy winner, Lady Gaga, and landed her a production deal with the multi-platinum producer for Beyonce, Jessica Simpson, Whitney Houston, Britney Spears, etc. that resulted in Gaga signing major label record and publishing deals. Wendy and Lady Gaga have written songs together over the years while Starland was also helping to develop Lady GaGa’s creative and marketing strategy. Fashion diva Donna Karan, celebrity clothing line Boy Meets Girl, Cakewalk by Roland, P2, women’s wear line Pink Pump, and skin care/ makeup line, Beauty Society, and Mobovivo are all using her music and image in their ad campaigns to represent their multi-million dollar companies (featured on network TV including ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, as well as Teen Vogue, Teen People, Cosmo Girl, Elle Magazine, and The New York Times.) Starland’s recent sponsorship with celebrity clothing line, Theia,(worn by Taylor, Swift, Oprah Winfrey) has brought her accolades including being featured on Zimbio’s “Hottest Couples at the 2014 Grammy Awards” list alongside Beyonce, Alicia Keys, etc. as well as being featured in the “Fashion Spotlight.” Starland is sponsored by and models for designer Gordana Gelhausen, who is the winner of the hit TV show, “Project Runway” with Heidi Klum. Her songs have been heard in countless movies and TV shows, including MTV's hit series’ "The Hills," “Jersey Shore,” the lead promos for 2 NBC primetime series, "Las Vegas" and "Hawaii," "Daily 10," E! News Live," and "E! True Hollywood Story,"and ABC's "Regis and Kelly." Starland is writing and producing a score & soundtrack for an upcoming movie "A Love Of Money" starring Samuel L Jackson, Billy Bob Thornton, Jessica Biel and Eminem. She is cowriting the theme song with Wyclef Jean. Sixteen songs Starland co-wrote and produced are featured in the popular video game Rock Band 3 - as well as Ubisoft's new video game, "Rocksmith," alongside The Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radiohead, etc. out now on Xbox and PlayStation 3. The LA Kings, Colorado Avalanche, San Diego Padres, and Denver Broncos have all picked up the song "Can You Feel It" Starland co-wrote and produced during their games this NHL and NFL seasons. The California rock band RapScallions, for whom Starland co-writes and produces, performed the song live before a TV studio audience on FOX Sports. Starland and her new song "All The Way" is featured in the upcoming TV & print ad campaigns for MoboVivo. A song she wrote and produced for the Asian girl group, Me 'N Ma Girls, will be released this year. Starland licensed a song for a national commercial for the product line Hot Stuff Go Pop Compacts. Wendy collaborated with legends and Grammy winners: Stephen Bishop, Tony Levin, Jerry Marotta, Arturo O'Farrill, Oz Noy and Conductor Luisella Chiarini with the A.C.O. Val Vibrata Symphony Orchestra in Abruzzo, Italy. Wendy Starland's highly anticipated single "Home" cowritten with chart topping producer, Ivo Moring, will be released worldwide this year.
