Ask Smoke Season to describe their hazy blend of electronic and psychedelic and they'll give you two words: “dustbowl soul” Los Angeles-based Gabrielle Wortman and Jason Rosen, the duo that comprises Smoke Season, seem to create their own unique genre of music "drawing on electro-pop and the eerie drawl of Americana to create something utterly fascinating" (axs).

Since forming, Smoke Season has independently released 3 EPs, a short film, half a dozen music videos, and toured nationwide. Their millions of Spotify plays and acclaim from major press outlets (Buzzfeed, Huffington Post, Clash Magazine, LA Weekly, and The New York Times to name a few), are proof that their sound is resonating with fans throughout the country.

In the past year, the duo has risen as a voice for social change: flying to Standing Rock North Dakota to support DAPL protests, and releasing music videos focusing on bullying of LGBTQ youth ("Loose"), support for veterans ("When The Smoke Clears"), immigration reform ("Emilia"). Most recently, Smoke Season released a female empowerment cover of Lionel Richie's "Hello" which premiered this Valentines Day on W Magazine.
